NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The artwork of a local artist is back by popular demand. The Ted Long Exhibit is on display this month at the Prairie Arts Center.

It showcases more than twenty of Long’s bronze sculptures and paintings, as well as access to his legacy room. His artwork has been featured in private collections, galleries, and museums around the world.

“We had our first exhibit with the Ted Long collection in 2017 and since then people just really love his artwork and ask when we are going to have the next exhibit of his,” said Holly Carlini, PAC Executive Director. “Sandhills Private Banking and Sandhills State Bank was nice enough to sponsor this exhibit for us and so we were able to work with the Ted Long family and just go through their pieces and bring them here.”

Long was a self-taught artist from North Platte. His paintings were sought after by John Wayne, Henry Ford and late President Ronald Reagan.
