Mullen sweeps MNAC Tournament, NP Girls win big on Senior Night

Several high level basketball teams took the court in North Platte today.

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - It was a great day of basketball in North Platte. The Lady Bulldogs played their Senior Night game late this afternoon. Fittingly, Gracie Haneborg led the charge for North Platte in a 70-14 victory over Alliance.

Across town at North Platte Community College, the Mullen girl’s basketball team beat South Loup 56-29 to claim the MNAC title. The Mullen boys also prevailed in the MNAC Championship, beating Sandhills Valley 44-27.

“It just feels great...The whole town is happy about it, it just feels great as a community,” said Mullen Senior Bryce McIntosh after the win.

The Maywood Hayes Center girl’s team claimed the RPAC title in thrilling fashion. The Lady Wolves beat Alma by a final score of 48-46 in the Championship game. With the win, Maywood Hayes Center improves to 18-1 on the season.
