NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Honoring the memory of long-time North Platte resident and physician Dr. Leland Lamberty. A ribbon cutting took place to commemorate the grand opening of the Lamberty Education Center. The new education center is bringing more space for training of healthcare professionals throughout the region. Many were in attendance on Friday, family and friends for the bittersweet event honoring the late doctor.

“Dr. Lamberty was very instrumental in ensuring that we had good education at Great Plains Health and he was always so passionate about making sure our healthcare professionals had the training to serve our patients well. So it was really fitting to name our education center after Dr. Lamberty,” said Chief Development Officer at Great Plains Health, Fiona Libsack.

This facility has state of the art technology for teaching critical care emergency, labor and delivery and more. The Education Center is on the second floor of Centennial Plaza.
