Raising funds for 4-H Clubs
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - 4-H Clubs are raising money at the Lincoln County Fairgrounds. This, while they are looking forward to an in person year of learning. Due to COVID, 4-H members have been limited in their fundraising. Now they are welcoming the public to their 4-H garage sale that goes through Friday and Saturday. Selling items from clothes to even furniture. All items donated for the sale. These funds are to help offset the cost of being in 4-H.
“We always like to try to help keep the costs associated with 4-H as low as possible so we can reach even more youth so the moneys we raise are going to help defray some of those costs so we don’t have to pass that on to our members,” said Extension Educator for University of Nebraska, Kate Marshall.
The garage sale will continue Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Next Sunday, Feb. 28, there is a 4-H open house at the Fairgrounds for anybody who wants to learn more about 4-H or get signed up.
