NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - With the high school basketball season entering the home stretch, several of our local teams were looking to keep their seasons alive. The North Platte Lady Bulldogs defeated Bellevue East in the A-6 District Championships. With the win, North Platte secures their spot in the State Tournament.

Across town, two of our local boy’s teams were battling in the D1-11 Sub-District Finals. Saint Pat’s defeated Maxwell by a final score of 75-34. The Irish now advance to the D1-3 District Final on Saturday, where they will face off against Creighton.

Our third game of the night featured the Hershey Panthers hosting Chase County. The Longhorns had fallen to the Panthers twice already this season, but Chase County avenged those losses tonight, beating Hershey 60-51. Despite the loss, the Panthers advance to the C2-5 District Final on Saturday, where they will face Tri County. The Longhorns will take on Amherst in the C2-8 District Final.
