Property rights advocate urges producers to get educated on Biden’s 30x30 plan
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - President Joe Biden’s 30x30 plan to tackle climate change is gaining steam. The executive order aims to conserve nearly a third of US land and ocean waters by 2030.
However, a property rights advocate from Texas stresses the plan is too aggressive. Margaret Byfield, the executive director of American Stewards of Liberty met with landowners in Valentine on Tuesday.
She said the plan may cause devastating and irreversible harm to local communities. Particularly, in a state where 97 percent of Nebraskans own their land.
Byfield strongly encourages producers to educate themselves and contact their representatives and share their personal opposition or support for the movement.
