NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - On a cold and windy evening, the North Platte soccer teams displayed their red hot offenses. The Lady Bulldogs took the field out in Scottsbluff and tallied seven goals. The boy’s team shutout the Bearcats 3-0 here in North Platte at Bauer Field.

The Haneborg cousins shined bright for the Lady Bulldogs today. Senior leader Gracie Haneborg earned a hat trick, scoring three goals and adding two assists in the winning effort. Gracie’s Freshman cousin, Briley Haneborg, contributed a pair of goals to the seven score total. In one of the more exciting moments of the game, Briley added to the team’s lead, executing a header off of a beautiful cross from Kaitlyn Evans.

The North Platte boys wasted no time grabbing a lead over the Bearcats. They took a 2-0 lead into halftime and Ryan Kaminski added one more off an impressive strike that found the back right corner of the net. Jaden Dike was brilliant in the goal for the Bulldogs. Despite an onslaught of shots from Scottsbluff and severe wind gusts, the Senior kept the Bearcats off the scoreboard.

With today’s victories, the Lady Bulldogs improve to 3-3 on the year, while the boy’s team sits at 2-4. Both squads return to action this Thursday against Lexington.
