Consignment boutique closing after 34 years
Once More With Style is closing
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) -After thirty-four years, a local boutique is closing its doors. Once More With Style located in downtown North Platte is hosting its retirement sale.
“My aunt is the one that started this business, Merlee Hudson. I started with her and my mom,” said Owner Connie Kuhlman. “Her kids and grandkids grew up in the store and then my kids and my grandkids. It has just been a family-oriented business the entire time.”
They have items for men, women, and children including shirts, outerwear, accessories, and shoes. People are able to find clothing at affordable prices with all the markdowns and additional discounts during their retirement sale. There are some items 50 percent off.
Through the years, Once More With Style employees and customers have built relationships with one another.
“We have had a lot of consigners that have watched their kids grow up through the store,” said Kuhlman. “Time has gone by fast. I have made some really good friends here and I am going to miss them.”
Once More With Style is one of two boutiques for Connie. She plans to divide her time between her other boutique located in Hershey and time with her loved ones.
“This is just the store retiring,” said Kuhlman. “I will still have my other store KJ’s boots and Western Wear in Hershey and I will spend more time with my family. Life is too short. I want to spend more time with them.”
The last day for the retirement sale is May 15.
