NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Sunday in Sutherland is sure to be a hit for anyone who loves breakfast. The Sutherland Chamber of Commerce is hosting a community breakfast, hoping to raise funds to add a Veterans Memorial in Sutherland’s Anchor Memorial Park.

Donations of $6 per person for the meal are suggested but the group hopes that hungry guests give generously. Children under the age of six eat for free.

Every second Sunday of the month the Sutherland chamber of commerce sponsors the community breakfast, but each month there is a different host fundraising.

“It’s all you can eat,” said Muriel Clark, volunteer for The Sutherland Chamber of Commerce. “We have pancakes, sausage, biscuits and gravy, pastries, scrambled eggs and potatoes. It’s a really hearty breakfast.”

Come to breakfast hungry and help with this cause on Sunday from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the American Legion Post in Sutherland.
