Cooling about 30 degrees on Monday
NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP)- Sunday sunshine greeted us but it will not be sticking around on Monday. Into early Monday we will see another cold front drop through the state, which will send temperatures tumbling again with chances for rain and snow Monday afternoon, Monday night and into early on Tuesday. It looks like only light snowfall accumulations will be seen.
A Winter Weather Advisory goes into effect for the Panhandle midnight MDT and lasts until 6 p.m. expect slick roads with snow accumulations of 1 to 3 inches expected.
The best chances for precipitation this week will be on Monday thanks to that cold front moving through.
Temperatures by Monday fall into the upper 30s to low 40s across the area with breezy north winds making it feel even colder. Temperatures Monday night into Tuesday are expected to fall into the teens and low 20s, making for a very cold April night. Tuesday remains chilly with highs only reaching the mid 40s with more breezy winds. Wednesday and Thursday should see temperatures reach back into the 50s and we could perhaps get back to near 60° by next Friday.
