The North Platte Noon Rotary is hosting their 18th annual blood drive

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The North Platte Noon Rotary is hosting their 18th annual blood drive next week. April is proving to be a difficult month to collect blood and The American Red Cross is wanting at least 71 pints of blood from this drive. As of Friday, only 35 people are signed up to donate.

You can roll up your sleeve to help save a life Wednesday, April 21 from 9 a.m. until 6 p.m. at the Ramada on South Jeffers Street.

Face masks are required.

There are a few requirements you must meet to be able to donate.

  • You must be at least 16 years old
  • Have a valid driver’s license/blood donor card
  • Weigh at least 110 lbs
  • Be feeling healthy

Those who are interested in donating blood during this event can register by going online to redcrossblood.org, by calling/ texting 308-660-6709, or through the Donor App which can be found on Apple and Android.
