The North Platte Youth Trap Team hosted today’s event that featured local athletes from communities including Maxwell, Ogallala, and Sutherland. All in all, eleven Nebraska towns were represented with 21 High School and 22 Jr. High squads.

“There’s some pretty good shooters out there and the new ones improve a little bit every week. It’s fun to watch them improve and get better,” said North Platte Coach Bryan Yenni.

Yenni’s son Harley is a high school sophomore who represents the North Platte Trap Team. Harley recorded a season best 89 today, good enough to earn 2nd place among his fellow high school competitors. Harley already has his eyes set on the State Tournament, but in the meantime, he’s enjoying the time on the range with his dad.
