NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) -Music on the Bricks is back for its fourth year in downtown North Platte. On April 30, the first night of Music on the Bricks was held indoors at the Espresso Shoppe. Due to limited seating, the first night of Music on the Bricks was sold out. Music on the Bricks features artists from the Lincoln County area in genres such as country, progressive rock, classical and more.

“It is all about our hometown,” said Co-Organizer George Lauby. “We are showcasing the musical talent in this town.”

Last year, the event was postponed due to COVID. With the downtown renovation projecting coming to a close, organizers were eager to bring Music on the Brick back to downtown North Platte.

“I feel like this is what the Downtown Renovation project was meant to do,” said Co-Organizer Don Kurre. “Music on the Bricks invigorates the people and opportunities to have live music.”

Downtown will be filled with music on Saturday, May 1, from 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. There will be five sets of performances throughout the day.
