NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - A faith-based restoration program for women facing homelessness or addictions is gearing up for Giving Day.

Deborah’s Legacy is one of 71 non-profit organizations participating in the 24-hour online campaign.

The six-month-to-two-year program assists women in becoming independent and finding work while getting them out of crisis situations.

“People in recovery are needing help right now, extra support,” said co-founder Jill Vaughn. “Recovery is not done in isolation. We’ve had lots of Zoom activities that we are able to connect with people, so it’s been very important that we continue to offer our services through this last year.”

The non-profit also collects funds year round through their Team 365 Campaign.

An open house is scheduled from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday.
