NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb (KNEP)- Low pressure will develop over Eastern Wyoming on Thursday, kick starting southerly winds, which in turn will bring more moisture from the south fueling the chances for more rain across the area. Thunderstorm will start to develop just to the West of North Platte late in the day or early evening and track east.

Potential for one or two capable of hail or strong winds.

There will be a marginal risk for a few storms becoming strong in the Sandhills or Southwest Nebraska capable of producing some large hail or some damaging winds. Skies will be partly cloudy, with temperatures warming into the lower 70s.

The weather will remain active through the weekend with additional thunderstorms chances Friday evening with a few strong storms possible in the southern most counties near the Kansas border near a stationary front. No single day will be a complete washout, but daily chances for rain and thunderstorms will persist through the weekend into the middle of next week.
