NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) -The Cedar Room is offering a delicacy that many have not seen in the state of Nebraska. For a limited time, the Cedar Room is serving Wagyu steak.

“This is the first time I have been able to play around with it myself, so I am really excited to see how everyone else likes it,” said Sioux Chef Burgundy Grout.

Wagyu translates into Japanese cow. The meat is tenderer than regular beef. Some cooks said it is one of the best cuts of meat one can get.

“Wagyu is a special steak. It has incredible marbling. Plus, it falls apart and melts in your mouth,” said Grout. “It is going to have a very strong beefy taste which a lot of people may like, but also a very slight gamey taste similar to deer.”
