NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - On May 15, students along with their families and friends gathered in the Maxwell High gymnasium to commence the 2021 graduation ceremony. As the graduates are moving on, they remember their memories along the way.

“Junior High began an entirely new adventure. We began finding our interests and we watch Ashton grow a beard by the time we were in seventh grade,” said one graduate.

The graduation ceremony was filled with many anecdotes and laughs showcasing the graduating class’s unity throughout the years.

“You have learned and grown together in the past 13 years. You have received awards. You have worked hard and you have created friendships and lasting memories,” said one faculty member.

During the ceremony, there was a moment for the students to embrace their time at Maxwell and thank all the people who helped them on their journey.

“Maxwell has always been super supportive of what we want to do no matter what it is. They always make sure that we are ready to be leaders and take on our workforce and anything we want to do in life,” said Graduate Jordan Miller.

“The environment here is so nice. This is such a tight community where everyone knows everyone and there are a lot of good bonds,” said Graduate Klyton Pagel.

This is not the end of their road, only the beginning.

“I am going to college in Fort Hayes to major in business marketing and do some advertising,” said Miller.

“I am going to go to the University of Nebraska – Kearney and major in cybersecurity and minor in business management,” said Pagel.
