NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - The Lincoln County Commissioner Office just finished conducting their weekly meeting Tuesday.

They did it Tuesday instead of Monday, due to the observance of Memorial Day. The Lincoln County Commissioner Office is discussing plans on remodeling their second and third floors bathrooms at the Lincoln County Courthouse.

Kent Weems, District 2 Commissioner of Lincoln County, said that the plans are coming together.

“The big project today was finalizing the contract for our second and third floor bathroom projects,” Weems said.

Weems said that these projects are really needed.

“Some of those fixtures up all seriousness probably close to a century old,” Weems said.

There has been some supply and COVID-19 delays and that has put this project repeatedly on hold. Dow Hower Construction will be in charge over the remodel.

Next year in April is the final date to approve of the remodel plans and then they are able to start the reconstruction.
