NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Grief impacts us at some point in our life, one way or another. A local church is stepping in to help people go through this process.

Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and School is hosting grief shares.

Every week on Wednesdays, the church is hosting grief shares for those who are going through a loss in their family. They have different methods of helping people go through grief including video vignettes of professionals to help.

Pastor Daniel Ramsey of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church and School said this isn’t first time hosting this program.

‘This is our second cycle on the grief share program. It’s thirteen weeks, and they have started last fall with it,” Ramsey said.

Ramsey says,“It’s a once a week meeting. They meet about for 90 minutes. There is a little video vignette with professional counselors. People who experienced it and now they processed it,”

This program has helped many people during the coronavirus crisis. They are keeping people safe by social distancing and encouraging participants to wear masks.

The grief shares are non-denominational and anybody can come out that needs the help and resources. The grief shares times are from 4:30 p.m. and ends at 6:00 p.m.
