NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) -SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - Summer-like temperatures will continue Monday and into the rest of the workweek, with the addition of thunderstorm chances reinstalled into the weather playbook. Afternoon highs on Monday will range from the upper 80s in southeastern Nebraska to the low/mid 90s across the rest of the state.

The high-pressure ridge that’s controlling our weather right now will re-amplify for the upcoming week, so look for temperatures to again push into the 80s and 90s. Upper-level waves meandering into the Plains will keep small chances for storms to develop about every day next week. If we were to pick the most favored days for storms it would have to be Tuesday and Wednesday.

Temperatures continue to be hot over the next 4 days before a weak cool down.
