LINCOLN, Neb. (KOLN) - Two earthquakes were recorded in Northern Nebraska near the South Dakota border Friday.

The United States Geological Survey recorded a 3.7 magnitude earthquake at 10:25 a.m. and a 3.1 magnitude earthquake at 5:50 p.m. about 5 miles north of Anoka in Boyd County.

Robert Vesely who lives in Spencer was able to capture what he believes is the sound of the earthquake from a camera inside his garage Friday morning. Although you can’t see any movement, a quake-like sound is audible.

“I was at work and on the second floor and it sounded and felt like an explosion across the street,” Vesely said.
