North Platte Tennis plans inaugural youth camp

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - On the heels of a season that saw record turnout, North Platte Public Schools Tennis will host their first youth camp next week. Children between the second and eighth grade are eligible for the sessions that will run from June 14 - June 16. The clinics will be split into two groups, 2nd - 4th graders and 5th - 8th graders. The younger division will play from 11 AM until noon, with a youth racket included in the registration fee. The older kids will play from 9:00 - 10:30 AM and receive a t-shirt with registration. Later this month, a High School camp will be held at Cody Park. Hastings College will help lead the two day clinic that runs on June 28 and June 29. Freshman through Seniors are eligible to attend the camp that will be divided into a boy’s and girl’s session. The camp runs from 8AM - Noon with the classes split into two hour increments. The registration fee is $45 and checks can be made out to “NP Tennis Registration.” Payment is due by June 14 and can be delivered to Coach Dale Hall or Coach Danielle Blake.
