NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - It’s a beautiful morning in Northwest Nebraska.

Current temperatures are in the upper 60s to low 70s across the area .

Temperatures are on the increase with highs in the upper 80s to mid 90s in some spots. So if you have plans today, please wear light clothing, and drink plenty of fluids.

The Storm Prediction Center is forecasting a marginal to slight chance of severe weather for our area Thursday night. Damaging winds, isolated hail, and an outside chance of tornado.

The week ahead for both North Platte and Scottsbluff are up and down forecast, with a break from the heat on Friday, with highs in the low 80s, and a rebound in temperatures this weekend, with highs in the upper 80s to low 90s.
