NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) -SCOTTSBLUFF, Neb. (KNEP) - In the wake of cold front pushing south and east, clouds will build across central and western Nebraska Wednesday morning. Some patchy fog is possible west of North Platte. The clouds and fog will gradually begin to clear out by mid afternoon allowing temperatures to climb into the low to mid 80s across the Sandhills, while the Panhandle get a taste of the hot weather yet to come with highs in the low to mid 90s.

The weather may be turning more active late in the week as a series of upper level disturbance round the crest of the ridge into the southwest part of the state. It appears the the greatest thunderstorm threat will be on Friday with a potential for storms to become severe.
