Born and raised in North Platte, Mia Dugan could not be more ecstatic to return to her original roots for the summer.
Mia is a rising senior at Georgetown University studying Government and Journalism. She also writes for The Hoya, which is Georgetown’s oldest and largest student newspaper.
Mia has represented Nebraska the past two summers on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C., where she has interned for both Senator Deb Fischer and Congressman Adrian Smith. She is excited to apply her political knowledge and journalism experience this summer while working for NBC Nebraska News 2.
In her free time, Mia enjoys cooking, exploring new cities, being outdoors, and spending time with her corgi named Penelope!
