Ogallala, Neb. (KNOP-TV) Two adults were displaced after a Sunday evening fire destroyed their living space, along with a vehicle, several outbuildings and damage to neighboring homes in Ogallala.

On Sunday evening the Ogallala Volunteer Fire Department worked to put out the fire. Ogallala Police Department officers reported the living space on fire, as well as at least one vehicle, as well as several outbuildings.

The fire department explained on their Facebook page that, “Due to power lines down and limited access, defensive tactics were employed to protect exposures until electric energy was de energized.”

Homes on both sides of the main fire suffered damage but those homeowners did not have to leave their homes.

The list of damages include: one vehicle, one bumper pull camper, one boat, a utility trailer, a garage destroyed, a garden shed damaged, garage and house siding damaged, and electric lines damaged.

One person on scene reported minor injury but was not taken to the hospital.

The cause of the fire is under investigation by a Nebraska State Fire Marshal investigator.
