NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - A group of high school seniors are doing their part to promote the beef industry through a video they spent all semester working on.
The Ag sales and entrepreneurship class at Paxton high school spoke to community members involved in the industry and shared their stories. They thought the best way to get their message out their was by creating a video for the internet.
Jordan Callihan helped create and narrated the video, and says their Ag instructor first gave them the idea to shed a positive light on the industry.
"Mr. Turner kind of brought an idea to us and said there's a lot of backlash against the beef industry these days. It was kind of in response to the Senator's proposal, the Green New Deal. We kind of just wanted to make a video promoting the beef industry and show people why it's important economically and to the lifestyle of Americans," said Callihan.
The boys set 20,000 views as their goal for viewership of the video.
It can be watched on Youtube at this link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0iJgDpnyFc4&app=desktop or on the Paxton FFA Facebook page.
