Blizzard increases pizza sales

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. Many businesses and restaurants were closed during Thursday's blizzard. But, one particular pizza place kept the open sign on.

Domino's Pizza in North Platte were making various Italian favorites for the community.

Manager Spencer Hust says on average by 2:30 they will have made about 55 pizzas. On Thursday they made approximately 250 by that time.

But even Hust said that number is unusual, even for a busy day.

"It's definitely been a lot more than what I've seen- even Nebraskaland Days," said Hust.

"Nebraskaland Days was pretty wild but this was right up there with it."

Hust says while they are willing to stay open during days like this- he asks the customers to be patient.
