Parental alienation, especially after a divorce, is a form of child abuse that has many long term negative effects on children.

Shawna Thompson of North Platte hosted the Bubbles of Love campaign at Cody Park to demonstrate how children need both of their parents in their life.

There were bubbles set up at a picnic table for anyone to come by and play with.

The bubbles were there to convey the message that love multiplies.

"This is also a way of showing that love multiplies just like the bubbles multiply, love multiplies, and there is no way in the world that a child can't love more than one person," Shawna Thompson, Bubbles of Love campaign organizer in North Platte, says.

This is the 6th annual international Bubbles of Love campaign, so not only did this take place here in North Platte, but it also took place around the world.
