A New Life Church in Downtown North Platte had cones with tape on them to guide people through the system while social distancing.

Participants could donate non-perishable food and hygiene products.
All of the items were donated to the Salvation Army to be distributed to those in need.

Pastor Dave Cumming said he knew North Platte would be a great place to ask for donations.

"We know that North Platte has a long history of looking out for people in difficult seasons with the Canteen and what not. So, we just thought it would be great to be apart of that history," said Cumming.

The church was able to collect approximately 940 items.
