NORTH PLATTE, Neb. Another hot spot of North Platte is remaining closed due to the pandemic.

Cody Park announced they will keep the rides closed for the foreseeable future.

The decision was made in order to stay in compliance with the directives from Governor Ricketts.

North Platte Parks Division's Lyle Minshull said the rides are ready to go once things turn around.

"We are ready to go. We weren't able to open up the first part of April so we had a lot of the employees that we tried to keep busy and give them a little something to do," said Minshull. "One of the things they did was go around and paint everything we hadn't had painted in a while. So, we're pretty spiffy and we're ready to go."

The concessions at Cody Park are still open for people to use.
