Custer Public Power District is reporting several power outages Saturday.

Executive Assistant for Custer Power, Tarin Burrows, said many areas in their service area including, Tryon and Seneca, have power outages that have been off and on since Friday.

Burrows said crews have been working all day Saturday to get the power back on and will work until 5:00 p.m. Saturday. At that time, they will be called in due to extreme weather conditions and will return to work on the outages Sunday morning, as soon as weather conditions allow.

Custer Power asks anyone with outages in their area to report them at 1-888-749-2453.

Burrows said the cause of the outages is ice, wind and snow.
