Moreno has been in the restaurant business for thirty years, two of those in North Platte. He says the former Taco Bell building next to McDonald's is an excellent location to grow his business.
In fact, he says the customers are the reason behind the expansion.
"It's very popular in Omaha and in Lincoln and we always have people from Lincoln coming by and say, 'oh we didn't know you had one here," said Moreno's granddaughter Azeneth Moreno. "Our very frequent customers say they always talk about it and they let people know the food is actually good here."
Moreno is in the process of opening a third location in Lexington by the beginning of next year. The restaurant will be in the former Sonic Drive-In building. A fourth location is also planned near Walmart in Ogallala.
"We have customers from Ogallala, Lexington, and Imperial and they want more locations near them," Moreno said.
Wilkinson Development Superintendent Allan Collins says the building is coming along better than expected.
Crews started working on the electrical, plumbing and wainscoting last week.
They're hoping to be finished by December 1st, if not, sooner.
Pediatric Dental Specialist of Greater Nebraska will be opening next to Royal Wok in January.
The dental clinic has locations in Hastings, Grand Island and Omaha.
