NORTH PLATTE, Neb. One of the best things about summer in North Platte is the Farmer's Market at the Platte River Mall.

Vendors set up shop near the northwest entrance of the parking lot to showcase their items.

People who attend the market will find everything from handcrafted signs to cinnamon rolls.

But, there's one product in particular which you can smell the moment you step out of the car- JT's Gold Rush Kettle Korn.

"We've been doing our popcorn for about six years now," said JT's Gold Rush Kettle Korn's Owner Jennifer Evans.

"We love the customers, the other vendors- it's just a really nice tight knit community. Everybody is friends with each other and it's a good group. We love it, this is our fun job that we do."

The market takes place every Tuesday , Thursday and Saturday in the Platte River Mall parking lot.
