NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - Local non-profits are teaming up to decorate the Cody Mansion for the 21st annual "Christmas at the Cody's". The family event starts this Friday and will be full of holiday activities, treats and entertainment.

Each room in the Cody Mansion is decorated by different local groups so that it has a new look every year. It's a wonderful Christmas tradition to get everyone in the holiday spirit.

People from all over the state attend Buffalo Bill Ranch every year to see the festivities. Volunteers say buffalo bill is North Platte's heritage. Assistant Director of the North Platte and Lincoln County Visitor's Bureau, Muriel Clark said, " Buffalo Bill called North Platte home for more than 40 years. He and his wife Louisa loved to entertain, so it's really a way to carry on that tradition of hospitality and getting people out here again to feel the mansion and it's really a wonderful feeling when you come in here."

Buffalo Bill will kick-off the event with a ribbon cutting and lighting at 5:30 this Friday. Tickets can be purchased at the event or online at
