NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) Golfers got in the groove on Monday for what is predicted to be a rainy Nebraska Boys State High School Golf Tournament in North Platte.

North Platte St. Pat's team was out on the course for what definitely wasn't the first time this season. They've spent their spring practicing on the Lake Maloney Course where the state tournament will tee off tomorrow.

The team won their district last Monday.

Senior Jacob Swift says the rain shouldn't make too big of a difference for him or his team's performances.

"I think it's probably been one of the best sports that I've gotten to play in high school. The team is really fun to be around and going out and golfing is really fun for me. Weather like this isn't great, but it isn't too bad. It's still better than running," said Swift.

People should bundle up to be prepared for the rainy Class D Tournament that begins tomorrow at 9 am.
