Gov. Ricketts encourages Nebraskans to stay informed on weather

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. Governor Ricketts held a press conference on Wednesday where he announced the signing of an Executive Order which extends the Emergency Declaration until May 15th.

This is to help with the current issues as well as the ones people could be facing as a result of the coming blizzard.

Governor Ricketts is encouraging people to stay informed on the developing conditions.

"We want people to continue to monitor the weather. This is a developing storm," says Gov. Ricketts.

"We want people to stay safe. If they're looking for which state highways are open they can check the 511 app. They can go to link text. Those are all places to access. They call dial 5-1-1 from your phone. Those are all important resources to find out what highways will be closed due to this weather event."
