Guardians of the Children host 6th Annual Toy and Unity Ride

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. Motorcyclists gathered at Cody Park today to raise money for kids.

It was the 6th Annual Toy and Unity Ride hosted by Guardians of the Children.

The group took monetary and toy donations for families who need them.

Guardians President Mark Russell says they are always looking to help anyway they can.

"We have people come and we have people donate $15 for a single or $20 for a couple and then that money goes to buy toys," said Russell.

"What we do is we donate those back to families that we help. Then whatever we have left over goes to the Salvation Army, RDAP, we've done Bridge of Hope in the past. Anywhere we can help. Anyone that's needing a little assistance we can do it."
