Habitat for Humanity dedicates 52nd home

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. KNOP Amanda Sloggett and her two boys received the keys to their new home on west 3rd street Friday.

Habitat for Humanity broke ground on their 52nd home last September.

Together, Amanda, family and friends, and volunteers dedicated more than 500 hours of labor to the house.

"It's unbelievable," Sloggett said. "I've been through the whole process so it's cool watching everything build and then here we are, we get to move in, it's surreal for sure."

Habitat for Humanity is currently working on their 53rd and 54th home on west 5th street.
