Harvest Christian Fellowship reenacted the Passion of the Christ Friday night beginning at the corner of Philip and Dewey.
As Jesus and Simon carried a large wooden cross down Dewey St., other actors joined the procession to make the walk to the church located at 1501 S Dewey.
After they arrived at the church, there was a special Good Friday communion service.
"I think it just kind of reminds people, we are a sight and sound generation, and people need to be able to see something. Maybe they wouldn't typically open up a Bible and sit down and read it, but it's nice that they can, whether they want to or not, they're going to see it out there and see us out there," Jacob Rahrig, Associate Pastor at Harvest Christian Fellowship, says.
Harvest Christian Fellowship will host four Easter services including one Saturday service at 6:30 p.m. and three on Sunday morning at 8:00, 9:30, and 11:00.
