If your holiday weekend is taking you south of the metro, there are some travel restrictions to keep in mind along I-29.

The Fremont, County Iowa Sheriff's Office said Saturday morning that authorities have shut down the northbound on-ramp and southbound off ramps at I-29's Nebraska City Exit (Exit 10) because of water over the ramps. Authorities said it's uncertain when they'll reopen.

This means if you are southbound on I-29 from Council Bluffs, there is no access to any gas stations until you get to Rock Port, Missouri which is approximately 68 miles.

Officials say to make sure you have enough fuel to make the trip because first responders have very limited access to the Interstate.
