You may have noticed the beautiful set of wings at the Rape and Domestic Program.

It's part of the Inspiring Wings NP Project. It's inspired by the Global Angel Wings Project that was launched in Downtown L.A.'s Arts District in 2012 to inspire and uplift people.

The local project was spearheaded by Beyond Envy owner Sophia Klein and Prairie Arts Center Executive Director Holly Carlini as a way to partner with local businesses to inspire and spread creativity throughout the community.

"I just think that it shows them that there are things in your day that can bring a smile to your face, that can change your mood, and that there are people out there that are willing to help you through things and bring some light," Carlini said.

The public is encouraged to take a photo with the wings and post it on social media using the hashtag #InspiringWingsNP.

Beyond Envy, Do-It-Center, Eagle Radio and Premier North Platte are next in line to participate.

The cost to participate is $500. The wings will be done by a local artist, and $200 will go to a nonprofit organization of the purchaser’s choice.
