NORTH PLATTE, Neb. (KNOP) - A Jeep could be seen hanging over the barrier of the Jeffers Street viaduct in North Platte Thursday afternoon.

The driver, Samuel Richards was arrested for driving under the influence and was taken to the Lincoln County jail.

Richards was not hurt in the accident.

The Jeep went into the walking path and came to rest against the chain link fence.

A witness at the scene said they saw paramedics check on a person who refused medical treatment. It's unclear if that person was the driver of this vehicle.
