Juvenile charged for hit and run near Hershey

HERSHEY, Neb. (KNOP) - A hit and run accident east of Hershey ended Monday morning with the arrest of juvenile male under the influence of marijuana.
Deputies responded to the call Monday just after 8 a.m.

The Lincoln County Sheriff's Office reports that both vehicles involved were found near Link 56C and Highway 30 after the car that was hit pursued the suspect.

The suspect was a juvenile male with no driver's license. The Sheriff's Department reports he appeared to have been heavily under the influence of marijuana. They found marijuana in his vehicle, as well.

The juvenile was charged with leaving the scene of a property damage accident, possession of marijuana, less than one ounce, no driver's license, and driving under the influence of drugs, first offense. He was eventually released to his parents.

There were no injuries reported in the incident.
