Ken Moody wins close race in Dawson County Sheriffs office

21 votes separated Ken Moody and Mike Hudson in the race to become the new Dawson County Sheriff. After votes in the 22 precincts were counted Ken Moody finished with 1,281 or 50.3 percent of the vote while Mike Hudson finished with 1,260 or 49.5 percent of the vote. Dawson County Clerk karla Zlatkovsky says the results will still have to be certified

Moody will replace Gary Reiber. Reiber chose not to run after serving over 20 years as sheriff and 40 years of service in Dawson County Law Enforcement.
