North Platte Public Schools Kids Klub got a head start and took advantage of the no school day to host their Lights on After School program at Wild Bills.
Law enforcement from Lincoln County came out to bond with the students.
This is the third year Kids Klub has invited them to attend the event.
"It's important to show up and be part of the kids in the community's lives to build that relationship so that when they get older they understand we are here to help and that there is people in the community that they can come to for help," said Lincoln County Sheriff's Deputy Tyler Schultz.
About 125 students in the North Platte Public School District participated.
