Legacy Dance hosts Sweetheart Shop to raise money

NORTH PLATTE, Neb. Local vendors set up shop at the Legacy Dance Studios to raise money for Legacy students on Saturday.

The Sweetheart Shop was selling various items from clothing to essential oils.

There was even a bake sale put on by the studio itself.

The dancers, cheerleaders and gymnasts are hoping to raise enough money to cover the costs for instructors and travel expenses.

Owner Janna Ryan says the funds are necessary in order to provide the best services for the kids.

"When it comes to gymnastics, cheer and our dance staff we work very hard to try and make sure we're taking the best and having them work with the kids," says Ryan.

"We've got a fabulous instructor that actually drives in from Kearney to teach our upper level jazz, ballet and point classes. Often we bring in instructors from California, L.A. and places like that."

Ryan says if anybody is interested in seeing the new facility they can call or drop-by the studios.
