Suspect in Lexington man's death remains in custody

LEXINGTON, Neb. (KNOP) - The Lexington man accused of killing a man Saturday morning was not in court Monday morning as scheduled. Court officials say 23-year-old Jorge Vasquez was scheduled to be arraigned in Dawson County Court.

Lexington Police found 22-year-old Hussein Nuri unresponsive in the parking lot of Tep’s Bar and Grill.around 1:30 a.m. Saturday morning. He was transported to Lexington Regional Hospital and pronounced dead a short time later.

Vasquez was arrested at 4 a.m. near 9th and Erie. He was charged with second degree murder plus possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphernalia.

Law enforcement says Nuri was a Lexington resident, but has no current listed address.
