Mac's Creek located in Lexington won the Double Gold award for its Blush/Rose at the Florida International Wine Competition.

Over 350 wines from around the world and United States were judged on appearance, taste, balance and finish.

Mac's Creek's Buzzard's Roost Blush was unanimously chosen by all the judges as being Best of Show in that category.

Owner Max McFarland says he's extremely proud of his team on their success.

"I feel so blessed to be able to 'live the dream' so to speak and to do that with our family," said McFarland. "It's beyond just our family, it takes an entire team to be able to do this. Obviously the wine maker's done an outstanding job. But, you can't come up with an outstanding wine with mediocre grapes."
