Lincoln County Courthouse reopens
The Lincoln County Courthouse is opening back up, but with new guidelines. The Commissioners and City Officials agreed upon opening the building with recommendations for the community to social distance.
The courthouse now has 6 foot markings on the ground for people to follow. They have disinfectant and masks available to those who want them. Janitorial will wipe down public spaces and each office will be encouraged to wipe down their areas.
Lincoln County Commissioner, Joe Hewgley, says he feels this will go well if the community works with the courthouse.
"Thank our governor I think they've taken a very realistic approach, a common sense approach, and we've tried to do the same thing. So hopefully the public will appreciate it and with their cooperation we'll get through this thing just fine. So just being courteous and I guess thoughtful of the person beside you as well as yourself," said Hewgley.
The Drivers License Office is moving down to the West end on the North side of the hall. They encourage people to still use the drop box and do work online when they can.
